Whiteside have been doing well around the world with their massive vocal house track “Rescue Me� that came out on Subliminal in November 2003. This track, is equally energetic and once again features the awesome production skills of this Swiss based producers.
The original vocal “Get Funky� mix is exactly that. Featuring a nice percussive disco-esque groove with big female vocal ad libs that turn into spoken diva vocal. Track then drops into a into a cool breakdown with the sung “I Get Lifted� vocals assisting the track building into a pleasing and solid track that, similar to Rescue Me, works well on the floor. “2 make things� uses a good combination of spoken and sung vocals as well as energetic “resistance is useless� build-ups. Nice keys and effects.
The Hardside Mix is a slightly deeper and percussive offering that maintains the energy of the “Get Funky� mix. Once again, great beats, percussion and production. The spoken and sung vocal complement is used again to good effect with greater usage of delays and driving effects to create a tougher main room feeling. A reasonable arrangement is used to keep the listener interested.
The track is yet to be “officially� released, but definitely worth hunting for! Thanks guys!
