Title: Zoo/Fever
Artist: Antoine Clamaran

Zoo kicks off with nice zoo/jungle samples before kickin into a big sounding tribal/afro based riddem. Zoo has elements of Clamaran’s “Sound of Africa offering from 2001, where tribal meets house to good effect. The first breakdown is wikkid, using the effects, well, to great effect, to really hype the track up and introduce the high-end “hook of the track. This is repeated to even better effect the second time around with additional sirens. Definitely one for the main room and slightly open minded, this track is huge and will work when the crowd is waiting for the big one or simply when one feels like letting loose. For those who like Bamboo and Stereo, you have been warned - Grab this!

Fever is a similar but slightly more sedated tribal-house offering suited to the more deeper darker sets. Fairly minimal (which is not a criticism) but chunky, Fever progresses and becomes infused with orgasmic (literally) sounds, which is not uncommon in many house tracks these days. This is (over) emphasised in the breakdown. One would probably have to be brave to play this one or at least have a really good insight as to the audience’s readiness. Sweeps are used to good effect, as with other effects. Good but not great, most will stick to Zoo.
