Well, the heavens came down late on Saturday Night, bringin' on a strange mood amongst the Savvy faithful. Abe produced a decent performance and some confusion amongst the crew when my start time was pushed back 30mins to 1am. But elation was soon restored when the news went out that I would be playing til 3am.... and what a cool night it turned out to be!

I kicked off my set with the acappella of Bulo by Copyright over Afrocatalans (Hardsoul Rmx), that set the scene for a latin edged house set for about the first 30-40 mins. The crowd responded accordingly and got into it straight away, with "Papacito Rico" and "Tribal Experience" (Jesse Garcia Rmx) getting the shakin' and swayin' audiences attention. I then moved the crowd into an upfront percussive house set. Huge choons that the crowd took to exceptionally well included "Got to Release", "Feel the Vibe", "Love U Bring Me", "Love U Feel", "Rendez Vu" (Sanchez Rmx), the classic "Tiger" by Laurent Wolf and the ever reliable "Shake it" by Lee Cabrera (Fragos & Master Rmx).

A very different atmosphere and crowd to that which usually frequents Savvy Bar & Lounge but nonetheless fired up, positive and responsive. A bit of a downer with a few too many people trying to get my attention and the bright fluorescent "house" lights being turned on with 15mins to go for about 30 seconds for no apparent reason!!!! (Lucky I had my shades handy!!!!). All in all a great night and respect to those who shared the experience. Peace.
